Winners in the 2nd Annual Teen Essay Contest

The Teen Essay Contest winners have been determined to be:

IN the Senior Category: 1st Place ($200) – Michaela Conelly (grade 11) of Mount Hope, a student at Mountain View Christian School

2nd Place ($150) – Emily McCommack (grade 11) of Ravenswood, a student at Heritage Christian Academy

3rd Place ($100) – Rodney Banton, Jr. (grade 12) of Morgantown, a student at Morgantown Christian Academy

IN the Junior Category: 1st Place ($200) – Mia Marino (grade 8) of Wellsburg, a student at Corpus Christi School

2nd Place ($150) – Ryah Rotilio (grade 8) of Follansbee, a student at St. Michael’s Parish School

3rd Place ($100) – Jerod Buck (grade 8) of Wheeling, a student at Corpus Christi School

Click on their names to read their winning essays. The First Place winners in both categories are invited to read their essays on Wednesday, February 11, at Pro-Life Rally Day in Charleston. The essays of all six will be mailed to National Right to Life for inclusion in their Teen Essay Contest which ends January 23, 2015.

All 127 entrants will receive backpacks.
